Birth Worker Debriefing

The birth world is a tough place to be at the moment - I get it. So often there are forces outside of your control that can derail a birth for your client, and it can be so distressing to witness. Bystander trauma is real, and working in isolation, and having to go into another birth so soon can be so hard. This is what this debriefing session is for.

Sometimes as a Doula, Birth Keeper or Midwife, it’s you who needs to be held and heard. You work so hard supporting other women and families, but you also need support yourself. Birth work is so emotional and requires so much of you that burnout is so common. But you are so needed, and what you do is so important.

Maybe there’s a birth that’s lingering and was difficult or traumatic to witness. Maybe you’re overwhelmed and close to burnout, and need a safe place to offload to come back to equilibrium. This is that safe space.

Birth worker debriefing is available for anyone - whether you are a doula, birth photographer, birth keeper, student midwife or midwife. Whether you support hospital births, home births or freebirths, all are welcome here.

These sessions run for an hour over zoom for $77 (as an introductory price), with follow-up support available via Voxer or WhatsApp for seven days, or until after your next birth if required.

If an event you witnessed or were involved in was particularly heavy, there will be an option to book a follow-up session to go through a trauma processing tool that I use called Timeline Reset, which will help to tie up those loose ends to close the loop on that experience.

If you need to book a session soon and can’t find anything available please reach out - I always have availability set aside for cancellations or urgent appointments.

If you need an urgent appointment - you have another birth rapidly approaching or are struggling to find a time that works please send me a message and we can work something out. If you’d prefer a phone call add in your number and generally good times to call I’ll do so as soon as I am able.
